Apparently the proposed bill is fairly weak; it “would institute no fly, no buy with the ability for someone who’s denied a gun purchase to get a due process hearing before a federal judge within 30 days.”[2] But as far as I know, the Department of Homeland Security is still declining to identify individuals on the no-fly list. With this legislation, all one might have to do is attempt to buy a gun to determine whether they’re on that list.
