    @clacke I don’t think there’s any sense to be made of Trump’s policies, foreign or domestic. If ‘reactionary’ wasn’t already in use to describe capitalist libertarians, I might choose it to describe authoritarian populists who make up the larger part of Trump’s support. It’s probably a mistake to expect any political ideology to be coherent but with these folks, it’s purely about rage and backlash.

    Obama was wrongly perceived as anti-Israel. Therefore Trump is chauvinistic in the worst possible way in being pro-occupation.

    There will be a lot of ‘collateral damage’ with Trump. Maybe different collateral damage than there would have been with Clinton, but collateral damage nonetheless. And we should never forget that that terrible euphemism stands for a lot of dead human beings.
