Star Trek: Axanar

Axanar will be released in two 15-minute segments.[1] That’s a lot less than what I was expecting and I doubt that anyone is celebrating. As Katharine Trendacosta, who has been covering this story for a while, puts it,

The version of Axanar that will be released will not be the version Peters originally intended to release. The agreement requires “substantial” changes and that Axanar hew to the aforementioned fan film guidelines released by CBS and Paramount.

I’m sure no one got exactly what they wanted from this agreement, but at least it’s finally over.[2]

Hypocrites

These protesters need to worry about human (and non-human animal) rights, not just the rights of their various identities. Until they do, as far as I am concerned, they are beneath contempt.
