Donald Trump goes berzerk on migration

Even for an administration given to chaos, that seems to me to regard chaos as an operating principle, the present moment verges on the exceptional. This is a moment when, if I didn’t have such a low opinion of Donald Trump’s intelligence, I might ask what our attention is being diverted from.
