Pittsburgh
Relevant to my recent blog post,[1] the Allegheny County Council voted against forming a civilian police review board, with council members asserting that they are already responsible for civilian review.[2] Perhaps so, but based on what I saw yesterday,[3] if this is indeed the case, they should all be impeached for dereliction of duty.
Or maybe they just really think the cops here are just fine the way they are.

Hurricane #Dorian is now moving north of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, where conditions will improve tonight. The hurricane will continue NW through Thursday night before turning WNW on Friday. pic.twitter.com/9Ti0CR3tbw

The storm seems to have dealt a glancing blow—I gather it was a bit more exciting if you were there—to Puerto Rico. I’m otherwise insufficiently familiar with the geography to identify the islands it appears to passed directly over.
As of 8:00 pm, 72-hour gif, images two hours apart.
