The Supreme Court votes are counter-intuitive on this one, with conservative justices supporting an electoral map that favors Black people and liberal justices opposing it. I’m pretty sure the logic behind this is better than the article makes it seem[1]—as it is, I’m just confused. Help?!!???

So we’ve been wondering what the fuck was up with Elon Musk firing the entire supercharger team and then, well, yeah, he does in fact need a supercharger team, so therefore rehiring them?[2] Victor Tangermann puts it down at least in part to a healthy dose of misogyny[3] and while I don’t think he’s wrong about that—his reporting is insightful whether you agree or not—I guess, in my view very much from afar, it looks a lot like the erratic behavior we’ve seen in Musk before, not least with Twitter (now X). Now Tangermann says misogyny,[4] so why did Musk hire her in the first place? To set her up to fail with a request she would find impossible? Like how Tangermann describes this?[5] Erratic? Hell, yes! Misogynistic? Perhaps capriciously so.

I suspect Musk likes chaos a little too much. Or perhaps he’s taking too much of the wrong kinds of drugs or not enough of the right ones. Or all of the above. But in any event, and not that this is anything new either, it’s a really shitty—and pointlessly shitty—way to treat people. Did he make them swear fealty to get their jobs back? I mean, what next?

Anyway, if you’re at all interested, do read the article (sorry for the Apple News link). Tangermann isn’t wasting your time. But god(desses) help any of us who are in any way doing business with Musk—this has really gotta be scary. And I’m pretty sure, not for the first time.
