No matter how you dress this up, Joe Biden will almost certainly be massacred in November. Which seems to be just fine with the neoliberals who fought not so much to defeat Donald Trump but to maintain their hold on the Democratic Party so as to defend neoliberalism. Bernie Sanders’ withdrawal ensures that Trump will be re-elected and that neoliberals will maintain their stranglehold. The latter will likely quietly consider this a win-win.
