Donald Trump
The phone call to Georgia’s secretary of state that the Washington Post has obtained a recording of[1] is apparently a different call from the one Donald Trump previously made to Georgia’s governor.[2] I don’t know how you interpret this latest reported call, attempting to reverse the election results,[3] as indicating anything other than criminal insanity.[4] Trump can’t possibly be in his right mind, he can’t possibly understand what he is doing, he obviously doesn’t understand that what he’s doing is wrong, and there can no longer be any question that Mike Pence should move to remove Trump from office under the 25th amendment.[5]
Meanwhile, all living former defense secretaries signed on to an op-ed in the Washington Post opposing any use of the military,[6] as with the Insurrection Act,[7] to overturn the election results. But we have a criminally insane[8] president surrounded by sycophants[9] (who are, of course, the very reason Trump has not already been deposed via the 25th amendment). Make sure that Insurrection Act invocation is on your 2021 Bingo card.
