“God gave us this land” is the age-old cry of the settler-colonist. To accept this claim is to embrace ethnic cleansing and genocide around the world, all in “God’s” name, of course. We saw it in the western hemisphere.[2] We’re seeing it in Palestine.[3]

Military.com has reported that many of those efforts [to make a show of dealing with the problem of extremism among troops] — including the military-wide extremism training stand-down ordered by Austin — were largely symbolic and were widely considered as just another box for commanders to check.[5]
